Sad news: we are closing (for now) due to Coronavirus

We are so sad to announce that we’ll be temporarily closing our doors, in response to the Coronavirus crisis. The Founder of Monkey Haven, Don Walser, says this is our ‘moral duty’ and would like to share a personal video thanking visitors, staff and the NHS – which saved his life, when he had a heart attack two years ago. The video was created by his teenage granddaughter, Ellie Wickes.

Please rest assured that all our animals will continue to receive the same exemplary care and love throughout this period. However financially, we have to admit that it will be a struggle. We know that so many of you will have your own struggles too. However if you are able to support us, at this very difficult time, then we would be so grateful and have set up a fundraising page (you can see the video and our new appeal, if you click on the link below).

Please stay safe everyone, follow the government advice, and check Facebook where we will try our best to help raise morale by posting updates on all the amazing rescued animals at Monkey Haven. We hope to see you all soon, in happier times xx
