We’ve got a flamin’ good treat in store for you this Bank Holiday weekend! We’ll be hosting fabulous fundraising BBQs every day from Friday 23 August to Monday 26 August. The money raised will go towards refurbing the Javan Langurs’ des res. The wire on their enclosure is starting to sag, which is a sign of old age (and don’t we know the feeling?!). We think the leaf eaters deserve a smarter home, particularly now they’ve been joined by Lilly Pad, a mischievous new monkey who is settling in really well – the little lady is pictured here.
So come and join us for a sizzling spot of lunch – and support our rescued creatures!
Also over the Bank Holiday weekend, we’ve got flying visits from the Isle of Wight Bat Hospital on Sunday 25 August and Monday 26 August.
The holiday fun continues with glitter tattoos, a lucky dip, and games including ‘guess the name of the monkey’.
Still want more? Then come along and celebrate naughty Buna’s birthday. Buna, the Cherry-Crowned Mangabey, has been nicknamed ‘the pig murderer’ by the Keepers, because her favourite game is destroying her mate Djimmy’s precious toy pigs! Join us at noon on Sunday 25 August to sing Happy Birthday and watch the 19 year tuck into healthy cake and open her pressies.
It’s all happening this Bank Holiday, so don’t miss out. Come along, have fun… and enjoy a sausage in the sunshine*!
